Bleep Test

Posted by Glesga Frontrunner on 6 March 2017

More than 40 club members turned out in January to undertake the first of our bleep tests for 2017. The club runs bleep tests three times a year. These fitness tests allow our members to gauge how their fitness is improving across the year. Results from the January test will soon be available via your club member zone profile. The next bleep test will take place in May.

What is a bleep test?

A bleep test is a multi-stage fitness test in which you must do 20 metre shuttle runs in time with the bleeps until the bleeps get too quick for you. It is designed to test your fitness level comparable to your age. The shuttle runs are done in time to pre-recorded bleep sounds played on a speaker. The time between the recorded bleeps decreases every minute as the level goes up.
